With Our All Day Wedding Package we always like to meet up for a chat before you even book DJ Ay My Party as your wedding DJ.

At your meeting I'll firstly listen to what your hopes and dreams are for your wedding day, and how I can create those expectations and turn them into a reality for you.  Also I want to gain an understanding of how you would like to feel during your wedding day and also how your want your guests to feel.

I'll talk through any of your music requirements from your music likes to more importantly your "don't you dare" music dislikes. Then between us we will make a plan for your evening with, timings and other moments like cutting the cake, bouquet toss, buffet meal etc.

With over 20 years as wedding DJ, I have some great ideas in how to make your wedding reception a great success & recommenations on what not to do. All of which I have gained from previous weddings that I would love to share with you.

For more information on creating your Wedding Experience click here.

After our chat I'll provide you with a quotation completely tailored to you to look through & decide in your own time.

I'm then availalble to be contacted by phone or e-mail to finalise your details right up to your wedding day.

Wedding Ceremony

There is growing popularity at civil ceremonies to include background music that replicates the format of a church service (with a Prelude, Processional and Recessional). Also music is also often required to cover the signing of the register.

At DJ at my Party, I will happily and ably assist with the proceedings during the ceremony to make sure everything runs smoothly and to time. I have vast experience of using music to create the emotion, to which is an important part of any wedding day.

Unless you have a professional taking care of music duties, they will more than likely be given to somebody who is not only unqualified for the task but also too busy with their own job to dedicate the proper care and attention to it.

Many venues will, for example, pass the job onto the banquet manager, or even one of the banqueting staff the result is that the music for the Processional will generally be played from the beginning of the track, as opposed to from the point that the client themselves would have selected; the client’s favourite part of the song won’t necessarily be the opening fifteen seconds in fact, it rarely is.

Even worse, once the bride has reached the groom, the music will often drop out suddenly and awkwardly, as the unwary person in charge hits the stop button instead of fading out. When this music is faded subtly in and out by somebody who has taken great care to understand its place within the ceremony, the difference can be stunning.

The Drinks Reception & Wedding Breakfast

If you are getting married in a church or registry office, I will arrive at your reception venue to set up before your guests arrive, playing the music that you have already chosen on arrival into your reception for you & your bridal party.

I will also play your choice of background music during your drinks reception & wedding breakfast. Which will create that personal and relaxed atmosphere thus allowing you & your guests to chat, whilst creating that ambiance during very special meal together.

Announcements & Speeches

When it is time for the introductions for the bridal party and (or) speeches, either a guest of your choice, myself, function manager or Toastmaster can make all the relevant announcements. Wireless Microphones can be provided during your speeches.

Here are a few Announments that could be made:

  • Bridal Party Entrance
  • Bride & Grooms Entrance (You may like us to play a song)
  • The Speeches

Cutting the Cake & First Dance

If cutting the cake is to be cut between the wedding breakfast & the first dance, then this announcement can also be made to your guests. This can be done either by something as simple as, cutting the cake. Or another option is a cutting the cake ceremony.

If you have already cut the cake during your wedding breakfast, at the appropriate time, before your first dance is about to start more up-beat music will be played and the volume will be raised slightly.

At this point I'll ensure that your guests are ready to greet you on the dancefloor where I will then formally announce you both to the dancefloor for your first dance.  Should you wish for your guests to join you during your first (or second) dance in this case I'll ask your guests to join you at the point that you had requested.

Evening Disco

We will then supply you with a professional disco/DJ for you and your guests to dance the night away. While remembering, some of those Traditions like the Bouquet toss & Garter Toss.

We play a great selection of music from 50's to present day that will guarantee to keep the dance floor busy all night long.  You have total control over the songs they choose and it’s a great way of getting them involved in the planning of your special day! And yes, we also accept requests on the night.

Our internet-based planning system allows you to browse our extensive music library to choose your special first dance and build a playlist of your favourite songs. Your guests can also have access to the system so they too can choose their favourite songs!

During the evening, we can include any of these great wedding traditions such as:

  • Throwing the Bouqet
  • Removal of the Garter
  • Tossing the Garter

If you are having a buffet meal this will be announced, your lighting and style of music will change as you have requested to set the mood.  Also throughout your wedding disco I'll be using your playlist of music likes and your "don't you dare" music dislikes that you have compiled.

Towards the end of the night for your last dance you may have a specific "Send off" song in mind. To do this we can either build up to a crescendo to finish on a high or slow things down a little to suit depending on your requirements.

The Diamond Package will transform your wedding day making your day the most memorable day that will stay with you forever.

Custom_Gobo.jpgCustom Gobo Projection
